Introduction Neerja Modi School,
is a co-educational, non-sectarian day school serving grades kindergarten to 12th. Through a unique learning experience which will enrich the child both academically and personally, we strive to cultivate the leaders of tomorrow, today. Founded in April 2001, NMS has a strength of 3850 students and 400 faculty members. Located in the cosmopolitan metropolis of Jaipur, we have developed a student body that hails from all parts of India and the world. In our pursuit of excellence, well known personalities from diverse fields like Theatre, Music, Dance. Academics and Sports are invited on campus to conduct workshops for students and interact with faculty.

At NMS many path exists in partnership, and mstudents are guided and encouraged to find paths that are most effective for them.
Academic Curriculum
The School prepares students for the Indian National curriculum-CBSE Board as well as the International curriculum –comprising of IGCSE and the IBDP. In Grades 1 to 10, students choose either the Central Board of Secondary Education programme (CBSE) or the University of Cambridge's International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) programme. Students in Grades XI & XII pursue the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IBD) Programme or the CBSE programme. In CBSE the school offers all three streamsScience, Commerce & Humanities -totaling to about 20+ subjects. Sports, Visual and Performing Arts as well as Yoga are an integral part of every student's life in School.
Academic Calendar
NMS operates on a semester calendar, with Semester 1 from April to September & Semester 2 from October to March.
Grading System
In Grades IX and X, the grading is A* to U for those doing the IGCSE (with A* the highest) & in CBSE students are awarded a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) ranging from 10 pt. to 1 pt. with 10 being the highest. In XI & XII, students doing the CBSE curriculum are awarded percentage marks in their 5 main subjects & the IBDP students receive the IB grades of 7 to 1(with 7 as the highest) per subject for six subjects & 3 additional points for TOK, EE and CAS
Subject Matrix
CBSE curriculum: In Grades IX and X, students enroll in 5 subjects which include two languages: (English compulsory) and a choice of second language from Hindi, Sanskrit or French; Mathematics; Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) and Social Science (History, Geography, Political Science & Economics).In Grades XI and XII a student may choose any 5 subjects to study for two continuous years. They are also graded for Work Education, Physical & Health Education and General Studies.
International Curriculum: In IGCSE Grades IX & X students enroll for a minimum of 6 & maximum of 9 courses. In IB Grades XI & XII students take 6, two year course (3 at higher level & 3 at standard level), a Theory of Knowledge course, 4000 word Extended Essay & a minimum of 150 hours of Creativity, Action & Service project. Students in Grade IX & X take the PSAT Exam conducted by College Board for which the school is a centre. Students in Grade X, XI and XII are also offered tutorials for AP (Advance Placement) Courses and the school is an AP test centre. All students interested in studying overseas take the ACT/SAT tests. School is also a ACT test centre.
